How To Fix "missing card tokens"
The “missing card tokens” issue is usually caused by an older saved version of the payment page stored in the browser’s cache. Below you’ll find several possible solutions to this problem starting with the least technical option. Please click on one of the solutions below for a full description and instructions.
Hard refresh of the web page
Sometimes a full reload pulls the newest page files. Try one of the following:
Windows/Linux: Press CTRL + F5 (or CTRL + Shift + R)
MAC: Press Cmd + Shift + R
Open the page in a Private/Incognito Window
Opening the page in a Private or Incognito window avoids using any saved data. Click on your browser below to see how to open a Private/Incognito window:
Google Chrome
Keyboard Shortcut: Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac)
Menu Options: Click the three-dot menu (…) in the top-right corner of the browser then select New Incognito window.
Android: Tap the three-dot menu (…) in the top-right corner, then select New Incognito tab.
Microsoft Edge
Keyboard Shortcut: Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + N (macOS)
Menu Option: Click the three-dot menu (…) in the top-right corner, then select New InPrivate window.
Firefox
Keyboard Shortcut: Press Ctrl + Shift + P
Menu Option: Click the three-bars in the top right corner of the browser, then select New private window.
Android: Tap the tab icon, select the mask icon, then tap the + or “Private” button.
Opera
Keyboard Shortcut: Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac)
Menu Options: Click the O Menu (top-left) and select New Private Window.
Safari
Keyboard Shortcut: Press Cmd + Shift + N
Menu Options: Select File > New Private Window.
iOS: Tap the Tabs icon (bottom-right). Tap the arrow or label in the center (often labeled “Tabs” or a number) to open the Tab Groups page. Tap Private on the left side to enter the mode. Tap + to open a new private tab.
Clear cached images and files
If the problem continues, clearing the browser’s cache usually fixes it. Select your browser below for instructions on how to clear your cache.
Google Chrome (Desktop)
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Select Delete browsing data…
- Choose a time range (select All time to clear everything).
- Check Cached images and files (you can uncheck everything else if you prefer).
- Click Delete data
Google Chrome (Android/iOS)
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Select Delete browsing data…
- Choose a time range (select All time to clear everything).
- Click More options
- Check Cached images and files (you can uncheck everything else if you prefer).
- Click Delete data.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
- Select Delete browsing data
- Choose a Time range (select All time to clear everything).
- Check Cached images and files (you can uncheck everything else if you prefer).
- Click Clear now
Mozilla Firefox
- Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner and select Settings
- Select Privacy & Security
- Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data and click Clear browsing data
- Set the time range (When) to Everything
- Check Temporary cached files and pages (you can uncheck everything else if you prefer).
- Click Clear
Opera
- Click the Opera icon in the top-left corner and select Settings
- In the Settings window select Privacy & security
- Click on Delete browsing data
- Choose a Time range (select All time to clear everything).
- Check Cached images and files (you can uncheck everything else if you prefer).
- Click Delete data
Safari (Mac)
- Click Safari in the top menu bar, then choose Settings (or Preferences).
- Go to the Advanced tab and enable Show Develop menu in menu bar.
Safari (iOS)
- Go to Settings, tap Apps, then select Safari
- Tap Advanced at the bottom, then choose Website Data
- Tap Remove All Website Data
- Tap Remove Now
Use a different browser
If all else fails, try a different browser or a different device. If you’re on Safari, try Chrome; if you’re on Chrome, try Edge or Safari.
